A very good golden retriever — and the mascot of my little corner for learningAstro. The name? Half framework pun, half tiny space explorer. 🚀
Why "the Astronaut"?
Mostly a play on words.
This site is built with Astro — so naturally the family golden retriever became Nala the Astronaut. It's a fun place for us to share photos of her, and for me to tinker with the framework and learn something new along the way.
The good part
One very good girl
Before Nala, the Davis family had never had a dog. We learned as we went — the walks, the chewed shoes, the 3 a.m. wake-up calls — and somewhere in there she became the heart of the house.
She's happiest with her people, a good nap spot, and the faint possibility of a treat.

Every astronaut needs a place to recharge. Nala's mission control is usually whichever cushion is warmest, softest, and most inconvenient to disturb.
The space theme stays light around here — the real story is just a dog we love and a framework I'm enjoying learning.
